Motivational Monday: A New Year and A New Word

We’re in that sweet little space between what was and what’s coming, the final stretch before the new year arrives with all its fresh-start energy. I love this week.

It feels like someone pressed “pause” just long enough for us to catch our breath and remember who we want to be as we step into January.

And because of that, this is the perfect moment to choose your word for the year.

Not a word that looks good on a mug.

Not a word that your sister picked.

Not a word you’ll forget by February.

I’m talking about your word — the one that hits you right in the heart because you know it matters for the life you’re creating.

This word should walk beside you in every area of your life. It should support your dreams, your intentions, your habits, your relationships, your health, your business, your joy, literally everything. Think of it like the quiet theme running underneath your entire year; something steady, something true, something that calls you forward even when you’re crawling.

And here’s where I want you to lean into the work we’ve been doing together.

Remember your 10 manifestations? Go back and read them. Don’t skim. Let them sink in.

Those 10 things aren’t just goals, they’re invitations. They’re the blueprint for who you’re becoming.

Ask yourself:

What do these dreams need from me?

What qualities? What mindset? What version of me shows up and makes these things real?

Your word is hiding somewhere in those answers.

Maybe you need more courage to speak up, go after the opportunity, or finally put yourself in the room you’ve been dreaming about.

Maybe you need more consistency, not perfection, just steady forward motion.

Maybe your dreams need you to trust yourself, soften your expectations, or step into deeper joy.

Maybe you need to expand your capacity, for love, for leadership, for abundance, for fun.

Let the possibilities flow. Write down words as they come to you, even if they feel rough or too bold or slightly uncomfortable. Sometimes the word that scares you is the exact one you need.

Then, and this is important, try your top words on like outfits.

Say them out loud.

Imagine them guiding your day.

Picture them taped to your bathroom mirror or popping up as a reminder on your phone.

Does the word feel grounding?

Does it stretch you without overwhelming you?

Does it support all 10 manifestations, not just one or two?

You’ll know when you’ve found the right one. It will feel like a gentle pull forward, not a push. It will feel like a whisper saying, “This is who you’re becoming. Let’s go.”

And when you choose it, commit to it. Put it where you can see it every single day, in your journal, on your mirror, in your planner, on the dashboard of your car.

Let it be a constant reminder of the energy you’re carrying into 2026.

This next year isn’t just happening to you. You’re co-creating it.

And your word? It’s your anchor. Your direction. Your permission slip to grow into the next version of yourself with intention.

So take your time this week. Sit with it. Play with it. Let your heart choose.

I’m so excited to hear what you pick, and even more excited to watch who you become because of it.

We’ve got a year full of magic ahead. Let’s step into it on purpose. 💛✨
