Motivational Monday: Let's Talk About Purpose (The Real Kind)

You ever notice how certain themes won’t leave you alone? Like the universe just taps you on the shoulder over and over again saying, “Hey… you listening?”

That’s been purpose for me this week. It keeps showing up, in conversations, in quiet moments, even in those funny little flashes of intuition that feel like a cosmic Post-it Note.

So let’s lean into it together.

Here’s the thing most people get wrong about purpose: they think it has to be perfectly defined, crystal clear, Instagram-caption worthy, and stamped with divine approval. Nope. Purpose isn’t a polished mission statement. It’s not even one big thing a lot of the time.

Purpose is a breadcrumb trail.

It’s the tug in your gut when something lights you up.

It’s the feeling of rightness when you’re helping someone.

It’s that moment when you’re fully yourself and it feels like exhaling.

It’s the curiosity that won’t leave you alone.

Purpose rarely introduces itself with a megaphone. Usually it whispers. Quietly. Persistently. And maybe that’s exactly how it’s showing up for you right now; little nudges, little reminders, little “hey, this direction.”

And here’s the truth I want you to carry into your week:

You don’t have to know your purpose to be living it.

You just have to follow the next aligned step.

Purpose grows with you.

It evolves with every season.

And, here’s the part no one says out loud, it does NOT require you to have it all figured out before you begin.

You can be in transition and still be living on purpose.

You can be unsure and still be making progress.

You can be changing your mind and still be aligned.

Think of purpose like a dimmer switch, not an on/off button. It gets brighter the more you move toward what feels true, the more you let go of what no longer fits, and the more willing you are to take action even when clarity isn’t perfect.

So this week, instead of asking, “What is my purpose?” try asking:

“What feels meaningful right now?”

“What pulls me forward instead of draining me?”

“Where do I naturally bring light?”

“What am I excited, maybe even scared to explore next?”

Your purpose is hiding in those answers.

And one more thing, because you know I love you enough to give it to you straight:

Purpose isn’t found in your head. It’s found in your actions.

You can think about it forever, but you discover it by doing.

So this week, take one small step in the direction of the thing that keeps tapping you on the shoulder.

Try something. Reach out to someone. Create the thing. Start the habit. Follow the nudge.

That’s how purpose reveals itself.

Not with perfection, but with movement.

You are already living more purposefully than you realize.

Let’s make this week a continuation of that truth.

Go get it.

You’ve got this, my friend!
