Motivational Monday: The Part No One Talks About

We spend a lot of time talking about dreams.

The excitement of setting them.

The vision boards.

The moment when inspiration hits and you feel completely certain that something bigger is possible for your life.

But there’s a part of the process that almost no one talks about.

It’s the stretch of time after the excitement fades, but before the results show up.

I like to call it the messy middle.

It’s the part where you’re doing the work, but nothing seems to be happening yet.

Where you’re showing up, staying consistent, and quietly wondering if anyone even notices.

It can feel frustrating.

It can feel lonely.

And if you’re not careful, it can make you question whether your dream is actually working.

But here’s the truth.

Almost every dream is built in that middle space.

Not during the moment of inspiration.

Not even at the moment of success.

It’s built in the quiet days when you keep going anyway.

When you record the podcast episode even if you don’t know who’s listening.

When you write the letter even if you’re not sure who will read it.

When you keep showing up for your dream before the world ever sees the results.

The messy middle is where belief is tested.

It’s where habits are formed.

It’s where your identity starts to shift from someone who hopes for something, to someone who is actually building it.

And here’s the part most people don’t realize.

Progress is often happening long before the numbers, recognition, or results show up.

Your mindset is shifting.

Your skills are improving.

Your confidence is growing.

Your life is quietly rearranging itself to match the vision you’ve been holding.

But because it’s happening behind the scenes, it can feel like nothing is moving.

This is the exact moment when most people give up.

Not because their dream wasn’t possible.

But because they walked away right before the momentum began.

So if you find yourself in the messy middle right now, I want you to hear this clearly:

You’re not behind. You’re not doing it wrong. And you’re definitely not alone.

You’re simply in the part of the journey where persistence matters more than excitement.

Keep showing up.Keep doing the small things.Keep believing in the vision that brought you here.

Because the middle may feel messy, but it’s also where the magic is being built.

And one day soon, you’ll look back and realize that the part you almost gave up on, was actually the part that made everything possible.

Keep going!
